Fast Brush Script: Kickstarter Project!
UPDATE: The Project was successfully funded, and the font is now released as Kaushan Script
This new Fast Brush Script font (yet to find a better name for it) feels like writing quickly with an inked brush.
When making digital fonts, the more you refine the shapes of each letter, the more energy you take away from them. Because of that, Fast Brush Script is unrefined and carries a lot of energy. By avoiding typographical perfection is stays more natural and expressive.
The Lowercase letters are ready!

The angles of the vertical strokes varies a little, and the positioning along the baseline jumps around, giving it a more rustic and natural feeling. Also, most script fonts have long ascenders and descenders, and they look too small when used at normal sizes on the web. I have optimized this font in the technical details to be very readable even when used as small as at 16 pixels.
If this project reaches the funding goal of $3,000, it will be published in Google Web Fonts
